Please read these Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) carefully before using the Rido Cabs mobile application (“App”) and services (collectively, the “Services”) operated by Rido Cabs (“Rido Cabs,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).
By accessing or using the Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of the Terms, you may not access the Services.
1. Acceptance of Terms
These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Rido Cabs. You affirm that you are of legal age to enter into this agreement in your jurisdiction.
2. The Rido Cabs Service
Rido Cabs provides a technology platform that connects users seeking transportation services (“Riders”) with independent third-party transportation providers (“Drivers”). Rido Cabs does not provide transportation services itself and is not a transportation carrier. Our role is solely to facilitate the connection between Riders and Drivers.
3. User Accounts
a. To use most of the Services, you must register for and maintain an active personal user account.
b. You must be at least 18 years old to obtain an Account.
c. You agree to provide accurate, complete, and up-to-date information during the registration process and to maintain the accuracy of such information.
d. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your Account and agree to maintain the security and secrecy of your Account username and password at all times.
e. You may only possess one Account.
4. Rider Conduct and Responsibilities
a. You agree to treat Drivers with respect and courtesy.
b. You agree to ensure that your pick-up and drop-off locations are safe and accessible.
c. You are responsible for your own safety and the safety of your belongings.
d. You agree not to engage in unlawful, harassing, or inappropriate behavior during a ride. This includes, but is not limited to, smoking, consumption of alcohol or illegal drugs, vandalism, or any form of harassment.
e. You are responsible for any damage you cause to the Driver’s vehicle.
f. You agree to comply with all applicable laws and regulations while using the Services.
5. Booking and Cancellations
a. All ride bookings are subject to Driver availability.
b. You may cancel a ride request; however, a cancellation fee may apply if you cancel after a certain time or if the Driver has already arrived, as detailed in our pricing policy.
c. Rido Cabs or the Driver may cancel a ride request at their discretion, for reasons including but not limited to, safety concerns, inappropriate conduct, or inability to reach the pick-up location.
6. Payments and Fees
a. You understand that use of the Services may result in charges to you for the services you receive from a Driver (“Charges”).
b. Charges will be calculated based on factors such as distance, time, demand (surge pricing), and any applicable tolls or fees.
c. You agree to pay all Charges incurred in connection with your Account, which may be processed by Rido Cabs on behalf of the Driver using your designated payment method.
d. All Charges are due immediately upon completion of the ride.
e. Rido Cabs reserves the right to establish, remove, and/or revise Charges for any or all services obtained through the use of the Services at any time in Rido Cabs’s sole discretion.
f. Tips for Drivers are voluntary and at your discretion.
g. For any payment disputes, you must contact Rido Cabs customer support within 48 hours of the charge.
7. Ratings and Feedback
a. You may be prompted to rate your Driver and provide feedback after a ride. Drivers may also rate you.
b. Ratings and feedback are important for maintaining the quality of the Services. Please provide honest and constructive feedback.
c. Rido Cabs reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts based on consistent low ratings or inappropriate feedback.
8. Intellectual Property
All intellectual property rights in the App and Services (including trademarks, copyrights, and software) belong to Rido Cabs or its licensors. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes.
9. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
a. Service Provided “As Is”: The Services are provided “as is” and “as available.” Rido Cabs disclaims all representations and warranties, express, implied, or statutory, not expressly set out in these terms, including the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
b. No Guarantee of Availability: Rido Cabs does not guarantee the availability, reliability, timeliness, or quality of the transportation services provided by Drivers.
c. Independent Contractors: You acknowledge that Drivers are independent third-party contractors and not employees, agents, or partners of Rido Cabs. Rido Cabs does not supervise, direct, or control a Driver’s activities.
d. Limitation of Liability: Rido Cabs shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, punitive, or consequential damages, including lost profits, lost data, personal injury, or property damage related to, in connection with, or otherwise resulting from any use of the services, even if Rido Cabs has been advised of the possibility of such damages.
e. Maximum Liability: In no event shall Rido Cabs’s total liability to you in connection with the services for all damages, losses and causes of action exceed the amount paid by you for the ride in question.
f. No Liability for Driver Actions: Rido Cabs is not responsible for the acts or omissions of any Driver. Any claims arising from the transportation services are solely between you and the Driver.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold Rido Cabs and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents harmless from any and all claims, demands, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including attorneys’ fees) arising out of or in connection with: (i) your use of the Services or services obtained through your use of the Services; (ii) your breach or violation of any of these Terms; (iii) Rido Cabs’s use of your User Content; or (iv) your violation of the rights of any third party, including third-party Drivers.
11. Privacy
Your use of the Services is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated by reference into these Terms. Please review our Privacy Policy (typically available via a link within the App or on our website) to understand our practices regarding your personal data.
12. Modifications to Terms
Rido Cabs reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Terms on this page and updating the “Last Updated” date. Your continued use of the Services after any such modifications constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
13. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
a. These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction where Rido Cabs is primarily operating, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
b. Any dispute, controversy, or claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the breach, termination, or validity thereof shall be finally settled by binding arbitration. The arbitration shall be conducted in accordance with the rules of a recognized arbitration body.
14. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unlawful, void, or for any reason unenforceable, then that provision shall be deemed severable from these Terms and shall not affect the validity and enforceability of any remaining provisions.
15. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Rido Cabs regarding the use of the Services.
